Dr. Gabriela López-Zerón (ella/she/her) is a gender-based violence researcher and mental health therapist in private practice. She is the founder and director of Colibrí Therapy & Training, where she specializes in working with new and expecting parents, multicultural couples, BIPOC and immigrant individual. Offering services in both English and Spanish, she is dedicated to providing affirming and culturally-responsive mental health services. Dr. López-Zerón also is an independent consultant for national and local organizations and teams. Her research, evaluation, and capacity building work centers on the impact of supportive services and evidence-based interventions for survivors of gender-based violence, in particular among immigrant Latine communities in the United States. Her work is driven by a belief that culturally responsive research and practice can catalyze meaningful change, support survivors’ healing journeys, and foster a more inclusive and equitable world.
La Dra. Gabriela López-Zerón (ella) es una investigadora bilingüe y bicultural en violencia de género y terapeuta de salud mental. Fundó Colibrí Therapy and Training (CTT), donde ofrece servicios de salud mental individuales, de pareja y de familia, así como evaluaciones psicosociales de inmigración para diversos procedimientos legales. También es Consultora Principal en Spotted Wings Strategies (SWS), brindando servicios de consultoría colaborativa para fortalecer capacidades de investigación y práctica en equipos académicos, comunitarios y organizacionales, con énfasis en justicia lingüística, equidad y prácticas neurodivergentes afirmativas. Su trabajo de investigación se centra en el impacto de servicios de apoyo e intervenciones basadas en evidencia para sobrevivientes de violencia de género, especialmente entre comunidades latinas inmigrantes en los Estados Unidos.
